Group presentations with invited guests for the discussion of the current progress of the schemes take place every 3-4 weeks. They provide students and tutors with an overview of the current status of all projects in the studio, and offer an opportunity to discuss developments and to suggest how to proceed. In this way, the successful communication of the design process, an important ability for architects to develop, is trained in a natural manner. During intermediate presentations, a large volume of sketchy, unrefined materials is shown and discussed in order to feed the discussion of project development; only at the stage of the final presentation are clearer guidelines for presentation format and materials set down. |
